A Personal View of Avalon Park.
My family and I have lived in Avalon Park since April 2002 when Alafaya Trail was a rough 2 lane country road, Downtown Avalon’s first commercial building had just opened and 17 years later, we are still live in Avalon, and love it. The idea of Avalon Park being created to be a community of like- minded, neighborhood loving people, centered around a vibrant downtown where we could “Live, Learn, Work, and Play,” was what originally brought me here. Today we have all of this and much more. I chose to start my own business in 2003 and am now the second longest running business in Avalon Park.

PLAY: Wow, there is so much to do. We have year-round community events, activities, festivals including live music in the park or movie nights, October Fest, Chilli Cook-Offs, and my favorite are the fireworks 4 times each year. There 240 acres of wetlands, 400 acres of conservation preserve, 250 acres of man-made lakes & ponds, walking/biking trails, and where each neighborhood village has its own pool. Avalon Park has its own neighborhood YMCA, softball teams, tennis teams, and sporting activities for the kids.
I guess it’s obvious, I’m a fan of Avalon Park and love living, working, and playing here.
